Peter NaktenisA legend as Hartford Public High School baseball player; top pitcher, stylish lefthander on 1931 and 1932 teams; also a standout in basketball and track. Pitched for the American League's Philadelphia A's (1936), and the National League's Cincinnati Reds (1939). Also for such other local area teams as the Hartford Chiefs and the Savitt Gems. Member of the 1944 Eastern League Champion Hartford Chiefs. In 1979, was inducted into the Greater Hartford Twilight League's Hall-of-Fame.
