Eugene Tetreault

A national champion and record-setting Hartford Public High School track star.

A member of the Class of 1962.

In 1962, the HPHS great middle distance runner became National Champion in both the 1,000 yards, record time of 2:14.9 and the outdoor 880 yards with a new mark of 1:51.6; won the New England 880 yards; captured his 3rd straight State Class LL and Open Meets, and finished the season unbeaten.

Received John C. Jackson Award as top athlete in track.

Starred on the track at Villanova University.

A U.S. Army Veteran who served in the Vietnam War.
