State 200 and 400 meters champion, 3 straight years; set state record 200m, 25.3, and state record 400m, 57 seconds.

Capital District Conference, 200 and 400 meters Champion, 3 straight years. Greater Hartford Invitational, 200 and 400 meters, and 4 x 400 relay, 3 years in a row. New Britain Invitational, 200 and 400 meters; for 3 straight years!

1980 Honorable Mention, Track All-American.

In 1981, was recognized by Connecticut Secretary of State Barbara B. Kennelly for representing Hartford Public High School and competing in the Puerto Rico National Championships, winning 2 gold medals, a silver and a bronze.
