First Hartford Public High School State Wrestling Champion, 1967; class of 1968.

Captain, 1967; set HPHS records for most consecutive pins, most pins, fastest pin and most takedowns.

A number of scholastic offers included the University of Hartford; starred for the Hawks from 1969 to 1972; Captain in senior year; placed 4th in the New England meet.

Recalls years at HPHS as  “best-ever, surrounded by good students, teachers and coaches.”
