Jim Goshdigian

His victory in the 2004 New England Senior Golf Open served as the latest triumph in the playing career of Jim Goshdigian, Professional at Goodwin Park and 1964 HPHS graduate.

Captained the ’64 Golfing Owls to a 17-0 record and the No. 1 ranking in the state; in 1963, at the age 17, was the youngest player ever to qualify for a PGA tour event, the Insurance Company Open, and, in 1971 turned professional.

Victories total over 100, Pro and Amateur combined.

All-Army Champion, 1968; highly decorated Vietnam veteran.

Starred on San Jacinto (Texas) Junior College teams; graduated in 1970; was inducted into the Texas Junior College Hall of Fame in 1971.
