Standout catcher, Captain of Hartford Public High School Baseball Teams, 1950, 1951, 1952 and 1953; member, Class of 1953.

Excellent handler of pitchers; durable, good hitter.

Also a member of HPHS basketball teams for two seasons.

Played professional baseball with the national league’s Pittsburgh Pirates, 1953, 1954, 1955; also for Hollywood in the Pacific Coast League, Williamsport of the Eastern League, and Mobile in the Southern Association.
