Bill Loika

Hartford Public High School’s Head Football Coach from 1947 to 1951.

His 1951 HPHS team won the state championship and the S. Polk Waskowitz Trophy.

Posted five-year 28-9-3 coaching record at the helm of the Owls.

Also served as head coach of HPHS baseball teams.

Assistant coach of football at UConn, 1952-1963; head coach, Central Connecticut State University, 1964-1981; compiled 92-72-3 record.

Received Gold Key from Connecticut Sportswriters Alliance in 1986.
