Outstanding, Championship Coach for 24 Years in Hartford Public High School’s athletic program.

Head Coach of Football; the 1971 Owls won CIAC State Title; also coached Varsity Baseball; Assistant Coach of HPHS New England Basketball Champions, 1960-61, and State and New England winners in 1961-62.

Coaching successes followed impressive playing achievements in Football; starred at Arnold College and the University of Bridgeport, 1950-54; Little All-American 2nd Team and All-Connecticut, 1953; played on U.S. Army Teams in Europe, and with local area Manchester Pros.

Community Activist: Assignments included serving as Honorary Chairperson of Tuberculosis Drive in Hartford; had been appointed by former teammate Andy Rosbustelli, serving as National Chairperson.
