Carlos Mouta

Very accomplished, much honored soccer player at Hartford Public High School, and well beyond; member, Class of 1979.

Varsity starter all four years; a key player on 1977 Class LL State Championship Team; All-State, 1977 and 1978; All-New England, 1977 and 1978; All CDC 1976-1979, career scoring leader; Owls’ Most Valuable Player, 1977 and 1978; Most Valuable Player in 1977 Class LL Final; first recipient of William Newell Memorial Award.

At Post College, 2nd team All-American, 1980; All-New England, 1979 and 1980; All-League, 1979 and 1980; at CCSU, all-time career assist leader. Marketing major.

Played in semi-pro Connecticut Soccer League for five years; coaches daughters’ soccer teams.

Played on Hartford Portuguese soccer team that went to St. Louis Final Four Amateur Cup 1984.

Board of Directors Members for Boys & Girls Club and an Executive Director for the Connecticut River Community Bank.

Strong community ties; President of Parkville Business Association.
