Record-breaking varsity letter winner in track and swimming all four years, 1976 to 1979; ran on cross-country team in 1978, first year of sport.

A star on HPHS Girl’s State Championship track teams, 1977 and 1978; the 1977 team’s title was first-ever for the Owls who also finished atop the CDC in 1976, 1977, 1978 and 1979.

Member of All-Conference teams; set city and school records in mile and two-mile.

Girl’s swimming team MVP, 1976, 1977, 1978; captain; went to states in 1976, 1977 and 1978; also starred on combined boy’s/girl’s team in 1979; records: 100-yd. Butterfly, 100-yd. Backstroke, 4 x 100 freestyle relay, 200 individual medley and 4 x 100 intermediate relay.

Strong voice in HPHS approach to physical education and balance in athletic program.

Graduate, Springfield College, 1983; swimming team member, freshman and junior years.
