Robert StrohBob Stroh coached wrestling at Hartford Public High School for twelve years and assisted Coach Lindy Remigino during the outdoor track season. During his tenure as wrestling coach, Bob's teams won the CIAC Championship twice. His teams produced four Individual CIAC Champions and eight individual finalists. Bob came to HPHS in 1965 from Glastonbury High School, where he began his career as a wrestling coach in 1963, A teacher and coach throughout his years at HPHS, Bob captured Hartford High's first state wrestling championship two years later. From 1966 until his departure in 1977, HPHS never had a losing season and never finished worse than fifth in the state tournament. In 1974, Bob was named Wrestling Coach of the Year by his peers. Bob also coached wrestling at both the University of Hartford and Trinity College. In 1978, Bob became a full-time wrestling official referee and officiated for many years. In 1988, he was honored by the Connecticut State Board of Wrestling Officials. He is retired and resides in Hollywood, Florida.
