Ira Lynch

1995 * Multiple Sports * "Three All States"

From 1994 to 1995, Ira Lynch had the distinction of being a vital part of three different Hartford Public High School state championship teams. In the winter of 1994 Hartford Public won the CIAC basketball state championship, under Hall of Fame coach, Stan Piorkowski. In the fall of 1994, the Owls added a CIAC football state championship, under Jack LaPlante. The Owls added three CIAC championships in track and field in the spring of 1995, making it two CIAC championships the same school year, under Hall of Fame coach, Lindy Remigino.

On an individual side, Ira Lynch was twice Hartford Courant All-State LB football player and once All State LB football player with the New Haven Register. He was a starter for three years for the Owls varsity football team and was named to the CCC East All Stars football team for three years. Ira continued to play football in the New England Football League as a member of the Connecticut Thunder team.
